| Performance
statistics are routinely gathered, analysed and monitored by
the QARC and reports are prepared and fed back at three monthly
intervals. These include information about workloads, staffing,
backlogs, pickup rates, sensitivity and specificity. It is the
responsibility of the QARC to encourage laboratory chiefs to
deal with any individual who is unable to meet targets. Often
however, the information is used in a positive way, possibly
as the result of an incident, to provide reassurance about a
person's performance over a period of time. |
